City of stone or rock phenomenon - mushrooms is Thracian sanctuary with altars, located 12 km from Zlatograd road to the town of Kardzhali. It is assumed that the site was a Thracian religious capital. What exactly tribe inhabited the lands Zlatograd today is unclear, but whoever they were, their metropolitan and religious center was near Zlatograd in the hills near the present village Benkovski.
