Minister Ilin Dimitrov recognized Plovdiv's SNACK! Specialty Coffee, ranked among the best coffee shops in Europe

"Your success is a source of pride and an example we should set. The coffee culture in Bulgaria is developing, and quality places are becoming an important part of the tourist image of our cities," the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ilin Dimitrov, said at a meeting with the founders of SNACK! Specialty Coffee, Georgi Harizanov and Boyan Kostakev. The Plovdiv café was ranked 44th in the European ranking TOP 100 Coffee Shops in Europe. It became the second highly rated Bulgarian brand after 43.12 Café in Varna. Minister Dimitrov congratulated the team for the international recognition and said that the development of specialty coffee culture contributes to a more attractive urban environment and the tourist experience in Bulgaria.

Georgi Harizanov shared that he created his first café together with his wife after years of working in the field of interior architecture. Gradually, the main focus of the business became coffee roasting. Today, the brand works with carefully selected batches from different regions around the world, maintains direct contact with some of the producers, and tracks the entire process - from farm to cup. “Our job is to reveal the potential of the product,” Harizanov said. According to him, interest in quality coffee and its origin is growing.

"We need to support people who create a quality product. When you do something with your heart, you change the environment. Bulgarian tourism needs exactly this," Minister Dimitrov said and awarded the representatives of SNACK! Specialty Coffee with a diploma for contribution to the development of urban tourism and the promotion of Bulgaria as a destination for new experiences and a high-quality tourist product.
