European Travel Commission (ETC)
 

The European Travel Commission (ETC) is a non-profit making organisation with its headquarters in Brussels. Its members are the 33 National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) of Europe, whose role is to market and promote tourism to Europe in general, and to their individual countries in particular. It also provides its partners with relevant tourist information. The commercial site is http://www.visiteurope.com/home.aspx.

Bulgaria is a member of the organization since 1993.

Its structure consists of: President, 3 Vice Presidents, Board of Directors, Chairman of the Working Group for the Study of the market (Market Intelligence Group) and Chairman of Network Technology and Marketing (Marketing & Technology Network).

ETC operates in Europe and four major overseas markets - Brazil, Canada, China and USA. They are grouped in so-called Task Force (ETC Operations Group) and are governed by an elected president. Their main responsibility is compiling an annual advertising program in Europe, budget planning and contacts with local industries.

ETC is funded entirely by its members.
