The Polish Chamber of Tourism’s first Tourism Business Forum in Bulgaria brought together, at the “Sunny Beach” resort, representatives of the tourism industry, institutions and the media from Bulgaria and Poland. The event is held with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and is aimed at preparing for the 2027 season, developing new tourism products and expanding travel outside the active summer season.

“We have the opportunity to build on the strong interest in Bulgaria with products that showcase our country in a different light and throughout all seasons. It is important to us that Polish tourists are familiar not only with the Black Sea coast, but also with the opportunities for cultural, spa and wellness, wine, gastronomic, winter and event tourism,” Deputy Minister of Tourism Prof. Mariela Modeva said.

According to her, the development of air connectivity and direct contact between tour operators, hoteliers and tourism organizations are among the key conditions for market expansion. The Ministry of Tourism will continue to support initiatives that create real opportunities for new routes, programs and joint proposals between businesses from Bulgaria and Poland.

The interest of Polish tourists in Bulgaria continues to grow, and in parallel with this, the demand profile is changing. More and more guests are choosing four- and five-star hotels, and our country remains a preferred destination for family vacations. In 2025, Bulgaria was visited by over 460,000 Polish tourists, and the aim is for this figure to reach 800,000 a year by 2029.

The forum will feature one-to-one B2B meetings between representatives of the tourism sector from both countries, aimed at forging new partnerships, developing tourism programmes and proposing ideas for the coming seasons. Emphasis is also placed on the opportunities for Bulgaria to attract more Polish tourists outside the traditional summer period and to establish itself as a year-round destination.
