Bulgaria is a well-known destination on the Italian market. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Italy Dorina Bianki at a meeting with the Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova. The meeting was held in the framework of the 105^th session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization.

Promoting the tourist flow between the two countries and exchanging good practices in staff training were among the main focuses in the talks. “Combined routes are one of the ways of promoting the exchange of tourists and creating products with a cultural and historical focus”, explained Nikolina Angelkova. In her words, the Ministry of Tourism focused its efforts on promoting investments in the sector, which are key to tourism development. Minister Angelkova underscored that our country was making consistent efforts to improve staffing in the sector.
