Obradovski monastery "Saint Mina" is one of the most visited holy sites near Sofia. It is 2 km away from Sofia's quarter Benkovski on the banks of the Vladayska River. After 1989, the monastery became popular with thousands of worshipers, who came for the miraculous icon of St. Minas in the temple. The saint is a strong advocate and quick assistant for every godly request. A period of massive construction began in the holy cloister - a whole complex of buildings and chapels grew up. Among them is the new domed temple, painted with Byzantine-style frescoes and dedicated to St. Nicholas.
